The challenge of the project was to design a multifamily Nearly Zero Energy Building in a quite narrow plot while maximising the quality of indoor and outdoor spaces. Two compenetrating volumes generate the south-west oriented setback of the second floor which allows to optimise passive solar gain and to expand the layout in large terraces. Internal circulation is driven by the natural light around the straight stair which can be considered the core of each single house.
